Kleine Zalze

Kleine Zalze is a historic South African wine estate located in the heart of Stellenbosch, one of the country’s most renowned wine regions. The estate’s history dates back to 1695, when land was granted to early Cape settlers, making it one of the oldest wine farms in the area.

Over more than three centuries, Kleine Zalze has evolved from a traditional Cape farm into an internationally recognised wine producer while maintaining its connection to the land and the surrounding Stellenbosch community. The estate has been family-owned since the 1990s under the Kühn family, who have invested in modern winemaking while respecting the property’s rich heritage.

Today, Kleine Zalze is known for producing high-quality wines that combine South African character with international appeal, reflecting the estate’s philosophy of craftsmanship, sustainability and a deep respect for its vineyards.
