A delight for any port lover, this beautifully crafted wooden box houses three wines from the 2017 single Quinta vintages from the houses of Fonseca, Taylor's and Croft. Crafted from exceptional single Quinta wines, each offers a distinctive expression of fruit, structure, and terroir, perfect for collectors or as a luxurious gift for port enthusiasts.

Tasting Notes:

  • Taylors: Deep opaque black at the core with a narrow purple rim. The nose is fine and linear, revealing complex red and dark berry fruit layered with subtle violet aromas, hints of citrus, and delicate wild herb notes. On the palate, lithe and muscular tannins support vibrant berry flavours, culminating in a firm, grippy finish with impressive purity and depth.
  • Croft: Dense, inky centre fading to a magenta rim. The bouquet is ripe, voluptuous, and aromatic, with blackcurrant, black cherry, and raspberry underpinned by eucalyptus, sage, and mint. The palate is full-bodied, with velvety, sinewy tannins and a concentrated structure, delivering remarkable length and ageing potential.
  • Fonseca: Aromas of dark woodland fruit mingle with lively red berries, leafy and balsamic notes, and subtle cedary undertones. The palate is rich and velvety, with mid-palate power, taut, sinewy tannins, and crisp acidity giving balance and a long, structured finish.

FAQ's For Taylors, Fonseca, Croft Vintage Port 2017 Trio Collection

Which grape varieties are used in these ports?

They are blends of traditional Douro grapes including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Tinto Cao, typical of single-quinta vintage ports.

What does the vintage year signify?

The 2017 designation indicates all grapes come from that single exceptional harvest, reflecting the terroir and climatic conditions of that year.

How long do these wines age before release?

They are aged for around two years in oak barrels before bottling, then continue to develop in bottle for decades.

Are these wines ready to drink?

Yes, they can be enjoyed now but will continue to evolve and gain complexity over decades of bottle ageing. Decanting is recommended to remove sediment and allow aromas and flavours to open.
