Is this a single vintage or a blend?

It is a blend of multiple vintages, each aged separately and then combined to achieve the house’s signature 40‑year profile.

Traditional Douro grapes dominate, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cao and Sousao.

How is this port made?
  1. Grapes are traditionally foot-trodden in lagares
  2. Fermentation is stopped early by adding grape spirit (fortification)
  3. The wine is then aged in small oak casks (cascos)
  4. Over decades, gradual oxidation develops the tawny colour and complex flavours
How should this port be served?

Serve slightly chilled at 10–14°C in a small Port glass or tulip-shaped wine glass. The narrower bowl concentrates the delicate aromas of dried fruit, nuts, and spice, enhancing the overall tasting experience.
