How is this port made?

Ageing in seasoned oak casks at the Dow’s Lodge, where slow oxidative ageing develops the wine’s colour, nutty depth and lifted aromatics. Each cask evolves differently, and the winemaking team tastes regularly to maintain Dow’s signature drier, more structured style.

The final blend brings together wines aged around a decade, each contributing fruit, spice, texture and complexity. Once the ideal balance is achieved, the wine is bottled ready to drink - no further ageing required.
