Meet The Producer

Meet The Wine Producer Behind The Bottle

A brief look at the producer’s heritage and winemaking approach.

JH Andresen

J. H. Andresen's Ports are made in Portugal's Douro Valley, one of the world's established regions for fortified wine. Production is centred on Quinta das Aranhas, near the River Tua, where grapes from around 40 hectares of top-rated vineyards provide the foundation for the range. The house also sources grapes from other Douro properties to meet its production needs.

The portfolio covers a variety of Port styles, from fruit-led Ruby expressions to Tawny Ports shaped by time in wood. White Port is another speciality, including aged bottlings.

Why We Love It

Why We Love This White Port

All of our wines are hand picked and tried by us in our tasting room.

Our Review:

"What stands out for me is the complexity. From dried fruits and caramel to nuts and spice. Despite twenty years of ageing it still feels incredibly vibrant.
