El Garbi

El Garbi is a distinctive wine producer from Terra Alta in Catalonia, a high-altitude Mediterranean region south of Priorat. The name comes from the Garbí, the warm wind that travels inland from the Mediterranean and plays an important role in the vineyards, helping to ventilate the vines while bringing warmth to the elevated growing sites.

The producer focuses on the expressive potential of Garnacha, one of Terra Alta's defining varieties. Its wines are made from sustainably farmed vineyards, with a philosophy centred on allowing the character of the region and its grapes to come through with minimal unnecessary intervention.

El Garbi's range includes a Garnacha Blanca and a Garnacha-based red, both designed to reflect the particular combination of altitude, Mediterranean sunshine, cool nights and mineral-rich soils found in Terra Alta.
