Domaine Cauhape

Domaine Cauhape is one of the leading estates in Jurançon, in southwest France, founded by Henri Ramonteu in 1980 on his family's former farm in Monein. Although the property's history dates back to 1558, when it was known as "Caussapé", it was Ramonteu's vision and dedication that transformed the estate into one of the appellation's most celebrated producers.

Today, the estate comprises around 50 hectares of south-facing vineyards in the foothills of the Pyrenees, planted predominantly with Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng, alongside revived indigenous varieties such as Camaralet and Lauzet. The combination of clay-siliceous soils, Atlantic influence and the warm föhn winds creates ideal conditions for producing both vibrant dry wines and richly concentrated sweet wines.

Driven by Henri Ramonteu's pioneering approach and relentless pursuit of aromatic expression, Domaine Cauhape has helped redefine the reputation of Jurançon, earning international acclaim for wines that combine purity, freshness and exceptional terroir expression.
