Chateau Violet

Chateau Violet is a historic wine estate located in the prestigious Sauternes appellation of Bordeaux, dedicated to producing elegant sweet wines that reflect the unique character of this renowned terroir. Like the great estates of the region, the chateau benefits from the exceptional conditions created by the meeting of the Garonne and Ciron rivers, which encourage the development of Botrytis cinerea (noble rot), essential for the production of fine Sauternes.

The vineyard is planted predominantly with Semillon, supported by Sauvignon Blanc, varieties ideally suited to the gravelly, sandy and clay-rich soils of the area. Through careful vineyard management and selective hand harvesting, Château Violet produces wines with concentrated fruit, aromatic complexity and the freshness needed for long-term ageing.

Combining traditional Bordeaux winemaking methods with respect for its terroir, Château Violet represents the elegance and heritage of Sauternes, crafting wines with richness, balance and a distinctive sense of place.
