Meet The Wine Producer Behind The Bottle

A brief look at the producer’s heritage and winemaking approach.

Chateau Tournefeuille

Located on a clay and gravel hillside in Neac, Chateau Tournefeuille overlooks the celebrated vineyards of Pomerol, across the Barbanne stream. Its approximately 18 hectares of vines are spread across several soil types, including clay-rich slopes and gravelly rises. These differences help shape wines with a balance of ripe fruit, structure and complexity.

Merlot is the principal grape variety, supported by Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. The estate works parcel by parcel, using temperature-controlled concrete vats to adapt fermentation to individual vineyard plots. The wines are matured in a combination of vats and French oak barrels, with a proportion of new oak adding texture and depth. The estate also follows vineyard practices that include manual harvesting and the avoidance of chemical herbicides and insecticides.
