FAQ's For Baron De Sigognac 1985 Vintage Armagnac

How does the terroir influence this vintage?

The estate’s sandy, siliceous soils produce lighter, more aromatic grapes, which translate into elegant, fruit‑driven Armagnac with refined spice and excellent ageing potential.

How should I store this bottle?
  • Keep it upright, away from heat and sunlight.
  • Once bottled, it no longer ages, so it can be stored for many years without losing character.
Does this vintage need time to open in the glass?

Yes it benefits from a few minutes of air. Expect the roasted‑nut and citrus notes to expand as it breathes.

What glass shape works best?

A tulip glass is ideal. It narrows the rim, concentrating the roasted‑nut and citrus aromatics while softening the alcohol on the nose.
