Kopke Fine White Port

Made by blending wines of different harvests, with different levels of maturation in stainless steel and wood for a minimum of 3 years, the result is a rich and aromatic wine, with the perfect level of sweetness.

  • This white port is a vivid orangey-brown colour
  • On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe and honeyed fruit combined with fragrant notes of vanilla
  • A smooth and round palate, full of rich and enveloping flavours
  • Smooth, velvety with a perfect acidity for a lingering, delicious finish

Chill Kopke fine white port before serving, ideally between 12 and 14°C. Great as an aperitif, with tonic lemon and mint for a refreshing long drink. Toasted almonds, figs and smoked ham are great friends with this drink.

Pair with desserts that include caramel, coffee, apricot and dried fruit. Perfect with caramelised walnuts, tiramisu, hazelnut meringue pie and mild cheeses, such as Brie.

Store the wine in a cool and dry place. Shelter from light and temperature fluctuations, and keep the bottle in an upright position. Over time, it is natural that sediment forms at the bottom of a bottle of port wine.

Grapes are hand-picked at the optimum time, next the grapes are then destemmed, crushed and converted into wine through a process of careful maceration, enhanced by constant churning during fermentation.

This takes place in stainless steel vats at a temperature between 28-30°C until it is the right degree of sweetness (baumé). Lastly introducing grape brandy to create the final fortified wine.
