Tio Pepe Fino En Rama 2022

This wine is the purest definition of the vines and the winery. A premium quality wine that is hand-crafted using traditional methods, making it a truly unique and special sherry.

  • Pale yellow with golden glints
  • Slightly cloudy as it contains flor in suspension, reflecting it’s bottling in ‘En Rama’
  • Complex aromas of almonds, lemon and floral notes combined with sea spray and minerals
  • The palate is slightly creamy
  • Salty tang and impressive depth of flavour boasting toasted almonds, apple skins and bready undertones
  • The finish is round and alluring, clearly harking back to its origins in the Albariza soil
  • It reflects significance of its biological ageing

Enjoy Tio Pepe Fino En Rama 2022 s an aperitif, or as an accompaniment to a meal. It is a particularly good match for seafood dishes, such as grilled shrimp, oysters, or mussels. The wine's crisp and refreshing flavour complements the natural flavours of seafood, and the wine's high acidity helps to cleanse the palate between bites.

Antonio Flores, award-winning master blender at Gonzlez Byass, selected the release from 96 butts from the Tio Pepe solera. This year’s saca “was clearly influenced by the weather during the growing season.

A very mild, and extremely dry, winter meant that the flor (the yeast covering that protects fino from oxidation) was very active during the colder months.” The annual spring selection is when the Flor is at its thickest giving Tio Pepe En Rama its distinctive intensity and freshness.
