Fonseca Vintage Port 2007 Half Bottle

2007 was a fantastic vintage, the first widely declared vintage since 2003. The 2007 ports are rich, sumptuous and approachable early on, with real elegance and finesse.

The 2007 growing season was preceded by a wet winter, which replenished water reserves after four hot, dry years. There were no significant periods of intense heat during the summer months. Ensuring the leaf canopies were in exceptional condition. The warm, dry conditions brought the crop to perfect maturity and the harvest produced stylish and elegant wines, full of vitality, with a superb fresh concentrated fruit character.

  • An impenetrable inky black colour with purple highlights
  • The nose is potent and concentrated fruitiness, packed with dense blackcurrant and blackberry aromas
  • Notes of coffee and exotic wood with hints of wild herbs
  • The palate is rich and luscious, with thick velvety and well-integrated tannins enveloped in succulent jammy fruit and rich dark chocolate flavours

Perfect paired with walnuts, blue-veined and other rich mature cheese, as well as dried fruit, apricots and figs. Store at a constant temperature, up to 16 degrees celsius.

Rest the Fonseca vintage port 2007 half bottle on its side to keep the cork moist. When decanting, stand the bottle upright for a few hours to allow the collected sediment to fall to the bottom of the bottle. Drink now until 2050.
