Kopke Colheita Port 2000 Half Bottle

Every wine tells a story. Kopke’s colheitas, however, tell a unique story. To taste a wine is to taste history and, in the case of this 2000 Colheita, it means remembering a remarkable event like the celebration of the 500 years since the arrival of the Portuguese in Brazil.

  • Intense golden-yellow colour
  • On the nose, it is discreet and delicate, laden with notes of dried fruit, cherries in syrup and subtle molasses
  • Vivid and rich in the mouth, it shows excellent structure and assertive vigour
  • Its elegance lingers into an unctuous and distinct finish

Kopke colheita port 2000 half bottle is wonderful on its own, after a meal, or served with an almond, lemon and poppy seed cake. To assure its full quality and flavour, it should be stored in bottle for as little time as possible, and should be drunk soon after purchase.

Established in 1638 by Christiano Kopke and his son, Nicolau Kopke. They came to Portugal as representatives of the Hanseatic League. The House of Kopke is the eldest porto wine export firm.

In June 2006, the Sogevinus Group extends its influence throughout the port wine sector through the acquisition of C. N. Kopke. Nowadays Kopke is the oldest porto wine brand and assumes the leadership in the ‘Porto Colheita’ category.

Befitting their status as the oldest port house, their bottles are easily recognisable by their traditional and hand-stencilled style.
