  • With intense notes of wild almonds, dates, sultanas and vanilla
  • Soft and elegant on the palate
  • Pleasant dried fruit and orange finish

Serve Vito Curatolo Arini 10 Year Old Marsala Superiore Riserva slightly cool. Perfect aperitif and it pairs well with pecorino and fig jam, marzipan cakes or dark chocolate desserts.

Established in 1875 by Vito Curatolo Arini. The winery is now run by the fifth generation of Curatolos, making it the oldest family business producing marsala.

The design of their stunning label was by Ernesto Basile, a famous architect in Palermo in the latter part of the 19th century and is very much in the art deco style.

The new range of wines under the Curatolo Arini label showcases a great expression of native Sicilian varieties.

Light wines from local grapes Grillo, Inzolia, and Cataratto are fortified with white grape spirit in the traditional way. Ageing of the wine take place over 10 years (the minimum legal requirement for 'Superiore' status is 4 years) in large Slavonian oak casks.

Destemming, maceration and fermentation at controlled temperature of 20-25C° in stainless steel vats for approx. 7 days with frequent delestages. When all the sugars are svolti, skin maceration continues for another 7 days for optimal tannin extraction, very important for the ageing process. Fortification takes place by adding alcohol up to 18% then follows mistella and must. Ageing in Slavonian casks, French and American barriques and tonneaux.
