"Just to say a big thank you for your very fast, efficient service.  I ordered a ships decanter 2 days ago and received it this morning."

How to decant vintage port - stand the bottle of port to be decanted upright a few hours before it is needed.  With a decanting funnel, muslin, or even a coffee filter paper, pour your port from the bottle to the decanter in one slow, continuous pour.  Stop pouring as soon as the sediment reaches the neck of the bottle or appears in your funnel - this can be made easier to see with a light placed behind the bottle.
