We use Parcelforce to deliver our goods to you because they have a good UK-wide network and they offer you, our customers, some unique options when it comes to delivery.

It is always best to have someone around to sign for the package when it is delivered.

If you cannot be there you might want to get it delivered to your workplace instead, using our "deliver to" option when you check out - the same one you would use if you were sending it as a gift to someone else.

If you're not in when Parcelforce attempt to deliver the goods they have a couple of free options - you can phone and arrange a free re-delivery or you can collect from your local Parcelforce Worldwide depot.

We can arrange for a Saturday delivery but this is an expensive option as it is subject to an £11.00 surcharge - please feel free to contact us if you have a special request for delivery.

Most postcodes in the UK are covered by Parcelforce's standard 48-hour service but some areas are subject to higher costs and longer delivery times. Postcodes that may take longer to deliver to are some in Aberdeen, Dundee, Holy Island, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isle of Scilly, Northern Ireland.

We take and process orders up to 8PM each evening - orders received in time will be sent for dispatch the next working day and it will then take the selected delivery option time to reach you - either 48 hours or next day by 10AM.

Our Delivery Costs are:-

Most of UK on 48 hour service £5.99
Most of UK next day by 10AM £9.99
Northern Ireland 48 hour service £10.49
Scottish Highlands & all British Islands £12.99

Please let us know if your goods did not reach you in the allotted time and we will seek a partial refund from Parcelforce for lateness.


» Returns Policy
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may exchange or refund your goods within 14 days of receipt. The goods must be returned to us in the same condition as supplied to you. Where your order is returned to us within 7 working days of your delivery, or you notify us in writing or by email of your wish to cancel your order within this period, your original postage and packing charge will also be reimbursed in full. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Claims for breakages must be made to us by email to info@cotswoldport.co.uk or by phone on 01608 650562. Claims must be made within 24hrs of receipt.

We use Realex Payments and Streamline (part of The Royal Bank of Scotland) to process payments securely. Realex Payments are certified and approved by several leading financial institutions. There are several layers of technology in place to ensure the confidentiality, authentication and integrity of information.

Realex Payments have been accredited with the AIS (Account Information Security) certification by VISA and is one of the few companies in Europe to achieve this.

All information when in transit via the internet is encrypted (128bit SSL) to ensure confidentiality of sensitive data. All messages sent to us and the responses from us are authenticated using digitally signed digests. All requests are verified against a legal list of IP address and referring URLs. Realex’s technical infrastructure is located in secure co-location facilities that have 24x7 manned security and advanced building management systems along with environmental controls.

Realex Payments are registered with the data protection commissioner as a "Data Processor". Cardholder information is encrypted and not displayed in our reporting systems.

In order for The Cotswold Port Co. to process your order we collect personal information relating to you including name, address, phone number, e-mail address.

We will only use your personal information for the purpose(s) for which you provide it to us – including, respond to your enquiries, handling orders, delivering items and processing payments, communicating with you about orders, products, services and promotional offers, updating our records and maintaining any on-line account you may have with us, preventing or detecting fraud or abuses of our website.

We will NOT pass on your personal details to any third parties.

Fraud / credit risk: where necessary to prevent fraud or reduce credit risk we may exchange your Personal Information with our Payment Service Provider.

We reserve the right to revise this privacy statement or any part of it from time to time. Please review the privacy statement periodically for changes. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Statement applies to all information that we have about you.

» Terms & Conditions
The purchase of products from The Cotswold Port Co. Ltd is governed by these terms and conditions. Please read them before using the site. By accessing the site, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Legal Notice for the UK

It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 years to purchase alcoholic beverages in the UK. The Cotswold Port Co. Ltd requires that all customers agree to supply proof of age on request. Orders are not accepted from persons under the age of 18 years old. By placing an order you are making a representation that you are at least 18 years old.

Availability

Orders are subject to the availability of stocks. If your choice of product is not available we will contact you to offer the following options:

i) Alternative product – with your agreement beforehand on any differences in cost and specification
ii) A delay until the product becomes available
iii) A refund to the value of the missing product
iv) Cancellation of the entire order and a full refund

If we cannot contact you we reserve the right to provide suitable alternative products at no extra charge. It is very important that you give us your correct contact details during the order process

Cancellation Rights

Customers have the right to cancel their orders from time of order until the 14th day after the day of receipt of goods. During this period if you wish to cancel your order please call us to confirm cancellation. We will refund you within 30 days of cancellation. If the goods have been dispatched you should return them to us in good condition within 7 days of notice of cancellation. If you do not return the goods to us within the specified time we will arrange for collection, the cost of which will be deducted from your refund.

We will try to resolve your complaint immediately. We aim to resolve all complaints to our customers' satisfaction within five working days of the initial contact.

Descriptions

The descriptions and pictures on the website are an accurate guide to our products but we cannot be held responsible for minor differences in the look of our product due to the variability of wooden packaging and the printing process.

Governing Law

This Contract shall be construed and governed in all respects by English Law and all disputes arising under or relating to the Contract shall be the subject of the jurisdiction of the Courts in England to which The Cotswold Port Co. Ltd and the customer hereby submit.

Liability

To the extent allowed by the law, The Cotswold Port Co. Ltd shall not be liable for direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of the services or products sold from or referred to on this site in the following circumstances:

For losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was made
For losses that were not caused by any breach on the part of The Cotswold Port Co Ltd or their suppliers
For business losses and/or losses to non-consumers.

Prices

Prices quoted are in United Kingdom pounds and are inclusive of VAT. Delivery and some packaging costs are additional.

Risk

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery. All goods should be examined for any obvious loss or damage at the time of delivery and the necessary evidence, including the goods, retained. The Cotswold Port Co Ltd can accept no liability for any loss through short delivery or damage to goods in transit unless the customer notifies us by phone or email within 48 hours after receipt of the goods.

Statutory Rights

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Title to Goods

Property and title in the goods shall remain with The Cotswold Port Co Ltd and shall not pass to the customer until such time as the customer has made payment in full of all sums due.
