FREE delivery by courier usually takes 2 to 3 days on in stock items and is applicable to mainland UK, Scottish Islands and Northern Ireland. Next Day delivery costs £4.95 , usually by DHL Express or Parcelforce, and excludes weekends.

PREFERRED DELIVERY DATE must take into account the delivery service selected. It is intended to allow you to place an order today and delay shipping until the appropriate date. Whilst we do our best to meet these dates sometimes couriers deliver early, or other factors delay the shipment beyond our control.

We use DHL to deliver our Port and Glass gifts to you because they have a good UK-wide network and they offer our customers some unique options when it comes to delivery.

Most deliveries to home addresses will use the At Home service offered by DHL - this has an extended delivery window up to 9PM at night by a local DHL agent from your area. If you are not around on the first delivery attempt and it cannot be left with a neighbour, then you can contact the local agent and make an arrangement for re-delivery that day or on another day and at a time to suit you up to 9PM weekday evenings. Occasionally DHL may use their normal Express network for home delivery which also has redelivery options but not to 9PM at night.

While it is always best to have someone around to sign for the package when it is delivered, the DHL At Home service will try a neighbour if you’re not around and advise you by postcard where the parcel has been left.

You may also want to have the parcel delivered to your workplace instead, using our "deliver to" option when you check out - the same one you would use if you were sending it as a gift to someone else.

Most postcodes in the UK are covered by DHL’s standard 48-hour and 24-hour service but some remoter areas are subject to slightly longer delivery times, e.g parts of the Highlands and Islands. Please note Next Day delivery to those areas may take a day longer.

Orders placed up to 2PM Mon-Fri will be dispatched that day on the chosen service - after this time goods will be dispatched the next working day. We do not ship at weekends – orders placed after 2PM on a Friday will be sent on the following Monday.

These charges cover up to 30Kg of goods (equivalent to 12 bottles of Port).

Claims for breakages must be made to us by email to info@cotswoldport.co.uk or by phone on 01608 650562. Claims must be made within 24hrs of receipt.

Legal Notice for the UK

It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 years to purchase alcoholic beverages in the UK. The Cotswold Port Co. Ltd requires that all customers agree to supply proof of age on request. Orders are not accepted from persons under the age of 18 years old. By placing an order you are making a representation that you are at least 18 years old.

Availability

Orders are subject to the availability of stocks. If your choice of product is not available we will contact you to offer the following options:

i) Alternative product – with your agreement beforehand on any differences in cost and specification
ii) A delay until the product becomes available
iii) A refund to the value of the missing product
iv) Cancellation of the entire order and a full refund

If we cannot contact you we reserve the right to provide suitable alternative products at no extra charge. It is very important that you give us your correct contact details during the order process

Cancellation Rights

Customers have the right to cancel their orders from time of order until the 14th day after the day of receipt of goods. During this period if you wish to cancel your order please call us to confirm cancellation. We will refund you within 30 days of cancellation. If the goods have been dispatched you should return them to us in good condition within 7 days of notice of cancellation. If you do not return the goods to us within the specified time we will arrange for collection, the cost of which will be deducted from your refund.

Descriptions

The descriptions and pictures on the website are an accurate guide to our products but we cannot be held responsible for minor differences in the look of our product due to the variability of wooden packaging and the printing process.

Governing Law

This Contract shall be construed and governed in all respects by English Law and all disputes arising under or relating to the Contract shall be the subject of the jurisdiction of the Courts in England to which The Cotswold Port Co. Ltd and the customer hereby submit.

Liability

To the extent allowed by the law, The Cotswold Port Co. Ltd shall not be liable for direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of the services or products sold from or referred to on this site in the following circumstances:

For losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was made
For losses that were not caused by any breach on the part of The Cotswold Port Co Ltd or their suppliers
For business losses and/or losses to non-consumers.

Prices

Prices quoted are in United Kingdom pounds and are inclusive of VAT. Delivery and some packaging costs are additional.

Risk

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery. All goods should be examined for any obvious loss or damage at the time of delivery and the necessary evidence, including the goods, retained. The Cotswold Port Co Ltd can accept no liability for any loss through short delivery or damage to goods in transit unless the customer notifies us by phone or email within 48 hours after receipt of the goods.

Statutory Rights

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Title to Goods

Property and title in the goods shall remain with The Cotswold Port Co Ltd and shall not pass to the customer until such time as the customer has made payment in full of all sums due.
