UK Wine Gift Delivery

Standard delivery by courier is £4.95 and usually takes 2 to 3 days on in stock items and is applicable to mainland UK, Scottish Islands and Northern Ireland. Next Day delivery costs £7.95 , usually by DHL Express or Parcelforce, and excludes weekends.

SATURDAY delivery is possible but orders must be placed by telephone by 12 noon on a Friday. There is a £19.00 charge for Saturday delivery.

For Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Eire and the rest of Europe please contact us for a competitive quotation for parcel costs.

PREFERRED DELIVERY DATE must take into account the delivery service selected. It is intended to allow you to place an order today and delay shipping until the appropriate date. Whilst we do our best to meet these dates sometimes couriers deliver early, or other factors delay the shipment beyond our control.

While it is always best to have someone around of at least 18 years of age to sign for the port gift when it is delivered, the Parcelforce service may try a neighbour if you’re not around or leave the parcel at your local post office - you will be advised by a postcard from the driver about where the parcel has been left.

You may also want to have the port gift delivered to your workplace instead, using our "deliver to" option when you check out - the same one you would use if you were sending it as a gift to someone else.

Most postcodes in the UK are covered by standard 48-hour and 24-hour services but some remoter areas are subject to slightly longer delivery times, e.g parts of the Highlands and Islands. Please note Next Day delivery to those areas may take a day longer.

Orders placed up to 2PM Mon-Fri are usually dispatched that day on the chosen service - after this time goods will be dispatched the next working day. We do not ship at weekends – orders placed after 2PM on a Friday will be sent on the following Monday.

These charges cover up to 30Kg of goods (equivalent to 12 bottles of Port).

Claims for breakages must be made to us by email to info@cotswoldport.co.uk or by phone on 01608 650562. Claims must be made within 24hrs of receipt.

Legal Notice for the UK

It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 years to purchase alcoholic beverages in the UK. The Cotswold Port Co. Ltd requires that all customers agree to supply proof of age on request. Orders are not accepted from persons under the age of 18 years old. By placing an order you are making a representation that you are at least 18 years old.

Availability

Orders are subject to the availability of stocks. If your choice of product is not available we will contact you to offer the following options:

i) Alternative product – with your agreement beforehand on any differences in cost and specification
ii) A delay until the product becomes available
iii) A refund to the value of the missing product
iv) Cancellation of the entire order and a full refund

If we cannot contact you we reserve the right to provide suitable alternative products at no extra charge. It is very important that you give us your correct contact details during the order process

Cancellation Rights

Customers have the right to cancel their orders from time of order until the 14th day after the day of receipt of goods. During this period if you wish to cancel your order please call us to confirm cancellation. We will refund you within 30 days of cancellation. If the goods have been dispatched you should return them to us in good condition within 7 days of notice of cancellation. If you do not return the goods to us within the specified time we will arrange for collection, the cost of which will be deducted from your refund.

We will try to resolve your complaint immediately. We aim to resolve all complaints to our customers' satisfaction within five working days of the initial contact.

Descriptions

The descriptions and pictures on the website are an accurate guide to our products but we cannot be held responsible for minor differences in the look of our product due to the variability of wooden packaging and the printing process.

Governing Law

This Contract shall be construed and governed in all respects by English Law and all disputes arising under or relating to the Contract shall be the subject of the jurisdiction of the Courts in England to which The Cotswold Port Co. Ltd and the customer hereby submit.

Liability

To the extent allowed by the law, The Cotswold Port Co. Ltd shall not be liable for direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of the services or products sold from or referred to on this site in the following circumstances:

For losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was made
For losses that were not caused by any breach on the part of The Cotswold Port Co Ltd or their suppliers
For business losses and/or losses to non-consumers.

Prices

Prices quoted are in United Kingdom pounds and are inclusive of VAT. Delivery and some packaging costs are additional.

Risk

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery. All goods should be examined for any obvious loss or damage at the time of delivery and the necessary evidence, including the goods, retained. The Cotswold Port Co Ltd can accept no liability for any loss through short delivery or damage to goods in transit unless the customer notifies us by phone or email within 48 hours after receipt of the goods.

Statutory Rights

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Title to Goods

Property and title in the goods shall remain with The Cotswold Port Co Ltd and shall not pass to the customer until such time as the customer has made payment in full of all sums due.
